Chryel Marie (Barrett) Armstrong

Chryel Marie Barrett Armstrong was born February 8, 1957, to the late Arnetta and James Watson Barrett. She departed her life June 22, 2026, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Marie was the baby of twelve children and is proceeded in death by the following siblings, Claudis Barrett, Thelma Williams, Norman Barrett, Royce Barrett, Betty Ruth Simmons, Dora McCain, Estella Person, Patricia Barrett, Edward Barrett, James Barrett. 

Marie was a member of the Westside Missionary Baptist Church in Robbins. NC. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious laughter and unwavering kindness. Marie enjoyed listening to gospel music and love herself a good spiritual movie. It brought great joy to her when her family stopped by to talk or to have a good laugh. 

Marie will be lovely remembered by her husband Roger Lee Armstrong of 33 years of marriage. One brother, Willis Barrett (Deborah). Her sons: Travis J. Barrett’s (Shereatha), DeMills M. Barrett (Shavon) and Jatia J. Barrett (Santrina), Benjamin Barrett (Miracle). Daughters: Tina Moore and Tiffany Moore (Holly). 18 grandchildren, 28 great grands, 4 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law. God daughters Elaine Moore and Della Jackson and a host of nieces, nephew, cousin and friends.
