Jamarious White Obituary

 

Jamarious Emanuel White, affectionately known as, “Big Pun” “ Maris Day” ‘Maris” and “Jay” He was dedicated professional, passionate sports fan, and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at the age of 46. Born on April 7, 1980, Jamarious lived a life defined by service, intellect, and a profound love for his family.

A Life of Service and Passion

Jay was a proud graduate of North Moore High School (NMHS). He went to Future Truckers of America and received his CDLs and team drove with his cousin, Keisha Marie Howell. He went on to build a meaningful career as a Traveling Phlebotomist, a role that allowed him to combine his medical skills with his deep desire to help others. He took immense pride in his work, always striving to make a positive difference in the lives of the patients he treated across various communities. Outside of his profession, Maris was known for his sharp mind and enthusiastic spirit. He was an avid political and world news enthusiast who loved engaging in deep conversations about current events. On game days, Big Pun could always be found loudly rooting for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Family Legacy

Jamarious’s greatest joy was his family. He was a loving father, a devoted son, a treasured grandson, and a supportive brother. He is survived by: • His Mother: Kathy Caddell White of Greensboro, NC • His Paternal Grandmother: Lois White of Haw Branch, NC • His Sons: Zion Jamarious White and bonus son Levi Peters, both of Thomasville, NC • His Brothers: Christopher Lee White and Ryan Talton White, both of Greensboro, NC • His Godsister: Tammy Foxx (Chris) of Greensboro, NC • His Godmother: Louise "Wezzie" Simmons of Greensboro, NC • His Best Friend: Kevin Phillips of Robbins, NC • Extended Family: A large, loving host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Jamarious was reunited in eternal rest with his beloved father, James Earl White, and his precious son, Johnathan James White. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
