Patricia "Audrey" Diane Dowdy

Patricia Diane Dowdy (known by family and friends as Audrey), 67 of North Carolina passed away in peace with loved ones surrounding her bedside at 6:18 PM, Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, AL. She was born on March 8, 1955 in North Carolina to Archie Dowdy and Inez Mosely.

Audrey’s mother and father, one brother (Johnny Dowdy), one niece (Amy Dowdy) and one nephew (Johnny Dowdy Jr.) preceded her in death. Audrey was blessed with the gift to be a natural care giver. She spent most of her life caring for others. Anyone who knew her felt her love. She would give the shirt off her back if she could, and many times did. The mottos that she stood by were, “Treat people like you want to be treated” and “Two wrongs don’t make a right”.

Surviving Audrey are her brothers Charles Dowdy (Sylvia) of Carthage, NC and David Dowdy of Riveria, FL; sons, Selah Scott (Angela) of Pinehurst, NC and Randy Dalmida (April) of Robbins, NC; her daughter, Marie Cole (Lamar) of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Olajuwon Lyles, Tremesa Lyles, Monique Urquiza (Ociel), William (AJ) Riddick IV (Ashley), Dominick McIver, Kiana Johnson, Raheem Scott, Jakaya Scott and Kadence Dalmida and her great-grandchildren, Javien Christian Lyles and Ociel Lopez Urquiza Jr as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
