Willie Edward Martin "Spunky" was born September 14, 1950, to the late James Walter and Mary Madalene Martin in Moore County, North Carolina. He departed this life May 4, 2022 at St. Joseph of the Pines Health Canter in Southern Pines, North Carolina.  

Willie was known to all by Spunky. He was well thought of. And he loved his family. He was very kind hearted. He helped anyone and everyone he could, even if he wasn’t feeling like it. We all loved him, he was one of a kind.  

Willie Edward “Spunky” Martin is proceeded in death by a sister, Mary Martin.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his daughter, Alyssa Elisabeth McDonald of Asheboro, North Carolina. Three brothers, James W. Martin of West End, North Carolina, Robert (Darlene) Martin of Hoffman, North Carolina and Michael Martin of west End, North Carolina. Two sisters, Mary ethel Brown of West End, North Carolina and Eva Jean Martin of Winston -Salem, North Carolina. Two uncles, Theodore “Buddy” Martin of Pittsboro, North Carolina and Bobby Marsh of Raleigh, North Carolina. Two aunts, Lucille Brooks of New Jersey and Ethel Carver of Pittsboro, North Carolina. Eleven nephews, three nieces, and a host cousins and friends. And Mr. Billy Cagle of West End, North Carolina Spunky best friend.
